Online Seminary Hopes To Bring "Mail Order" Ministers The Respect They Deserve

United Interfaith, a website dealing with interfaith issues and interfaith discussion, is proud to announce the opening of its new distance learning seminary, the United Interfaith Seminary.

This program was especially developed for those that are already ordained through "mail order" methods from churches such as the Universal Life Church (ULC), Universal Ministries, or the Church of Seven Planes. The program is also appropriate for those that wish to become Interfaith Ministers but lack the time and / or resources to enroll in a traditional interfaith seminary program.

The program consists of twelve courses in the areas of world religions, ministerial functions, pastoral counseling, and ethics & leadership. The breakdown of the courses is as follows:

World Religions
1) "Western" Religions
2) "Eastern" Religions
3) Other Religions

Ministerial Functions
1) Ceremonies & Rituals
2) Inter-religious Dialogue
3) Volunteer Work

Pastoral Counseling
1) Spiritual Counseling
2) Grief & Loss
3) Meditation & Prayer

Ethics & Leadership
1) Religious Ethics
2) Trust & Relationships
3) The Compassionate Leader

When a student has completed all of the required courses, they will be awarded our Interfaith Ministers Certification. This certification, along with an ordination from a recognized Interfaith church such as the Universal Life Church (ULC), Universal Ministries, or the Church of Seven Planes, will allow our students to better serve those in need of spiritual help and guidance.

If our students are not already ordained through one of the many churches that ordain individuals with no requirements, the United Interfaith Seminary will help these students with choosing the ordination credentials that are right for them.
