A new Web portal to higher education provides students with direct links to colleges and universities now offering complete degree and certificate programs in a distance education format.

The new Web site, called edpath.com, distinguishes itself as compiling the most direct links on the Web to higher education institutions offering complete 2-year degree programs, 4-year degree programs, and both undergraduate-level and graduate-level certificate programs.

"A lot of colleges and universities offer courses at a distance, but not all of them are offering complete degree or certificate programs at a distance," said edpath.com founder George A. Lorenzo. "We've compiled an extensive number of direct links to all the higher education institutions in the USA with distance education departments that are offering students the opportunity to earn entire degrees or certificates without ever setting foot on campus."

Lorenzo added that the edpath.com Web site is filling a small niche on the World Wide Web for students looking for complete distance learning degree programs instead of just higher education courses available at a distance. "We're not aiming to be the leading portal to higher education," he said. "We're just a small and efficient site that helps students find exactly what they're looking for, which is complete distance learning degree and certificate programs."
